CategoryLower-Body Strength
How to do it
Stand behind the barbell with feet hip-width apart, hinge at the hips and bend the knees to grip the bar, then extend the hips and knees to pull it to a standing lockout before lowering it under control. Develops hip-dominant posterior-chain strength, strengthening the gluteus maximus, hamstrings and erector spinae. Suitable for athletics (sprints/long jump), rugby, basketball, weightlifting and combat sports.
