How to do it

Balance on the inside leg. Before hopping sideways over the mini hurdle, do one quick preparatory hop, using the stretch reflex and stored elastic energy to make the following push-off more efficient. Keep your body facing forward throughout and push actively off the inside leg to hop laterally in succession. The focus is reactive strength, ankle stiffness, single-leg power and lateral propulsion, while also strengthening stance-leg stability and force transfer efficiency, helping athletes build a more efficient lateral force-production pattern and the ability to bounce repeatedly.
